Refund & Credits Policy
This policy explains how prepaid credits, cancellations and refunds work for services of V Legal Services (Proprietor: Mr. Suresh Kumar R). It forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Credits
- 1 credit = ₹1 of our service charge. Credits are bought in advance; GST at the applicable rate is added at the time of purchase and a receipt / tax invoice is issued.
- Credits can be used only for V Legal's own services through your account. They are not transferable, carry no interest and cannot be withdrawn as cash, except as refunds under this policy.
- Purchased credits do not expire while your account is active.
- Welcome and bonus credits are promotional. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred or refunded, and may be withdrawn if the account is closed or misused.
- Credits are used before any other payment arrangement unless agreed otherwise in writing.
2. Holds, charges and cancellation of a request

| You cancel before work starts | The full hold is returned to your balance. |
| You cancel after work has started | We charge for work already done (for example, an EC already applied for, a draft already prepared) and return the rest. We show the amount in the request before charging. |
| Work is completed | The hold is charged. |
| We cannot provide the service | The full hold is returned. |
There are no separate cancellation charges beyond work actually done.
3. Government and third-party charges
Stamp duty, registration fees, EC / CC fees and other statutory charges paid to government on your behalf are not refundable by us once paid; any refund is subject to the department's own rules, and we will help you apply for it where the law allows. Fees of a bank's panel advocate or other third parties are governed by their terms.
4. Advocate's fees
The professional fee for a legal opinion is billed by the advocate directly and is governed by the advocate's own terms. Only V Legal's liaison fee, if any, is handled through credits under this policy.
5. Refund of unused credits
- On closing your account, you may ask for a refund of unused purchased credits (not welcome or bonus credits), less any amount due to us.
- Refunds are made to the original payment method or to a bank account in the account holder's name, within 30 days of the request. GST is adjusted as permitted by GST law (for example, by issuing a credit note).
- Where a payment was made in error (for example, a duplicate payment), it will be refunded in full on verification.
6. Recurring charges
Storage above the free limit and staff logins above the free number are deducted from credits on the 1st of each month. To stop them, delete files or freeze / remove staff logins before the 1st. Charges already deducted for a month are not refunded.
7. Disputes
If you disagree with a charge, write to our Grievance Officer within 30 days of it appearing in your passbook. We will acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within 30 days.
